Allergies

Acupuncture can really help reduce the effects of seasonal allergies! A study that was just released in February of 2013 showed acupuncture had statistically significant improvements in quality of life of allergy sufferers and decreased amounts of antihistamine use.

A patient can have acupuncture anytime to help relieve and manage symptoms of runny/stuffed nose, itchy, watery eyes and sneezing.  In my practice, I recommend my patients who suffer severe seasonal allergies to make sure they begin regular acupuncture treatments before allergy season begins.  This gives time for the patient to build his immune system before being overwhelmed by pollen.
